I am the heart behind Andrea Nickens Photography, specializing in weddings, quinceañeras photography, and portrait sessions for couples. Having been in the photography industry for quite some time, I was previously based in Oklahoma and have recently relocated to Colorado Springs!
I am a wife to a wonderful man who serves in the US Army and a proud dog mom to a playful Pitbull Husky mix and a St. Bernard! As a follower of Christ, I also enjoy coffee and reading in my spare time.
To me, photography is more than just taking pictures; it’s about capturing moments that freeze time for memories we never want to forget. My photography aims to remind us that we are beautifully and wonderfully made in such a time as this.

In photography, the rule of thirds is the idea of grouping subjects in threes for a more eye-catching photo. This technique is naturally more appealing to the eye, reflecting how God Himself is a Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. When capturing portrait sessions or quinceañeras photography through my lens, I aim to glorify His masterpiece in how you were made, for such a time as this.
Just as my camera requires a balance of aperture, shutter speed, and ISO to create a properly exposed image, our lives also require balance—faith, trust, and obedience. When one element is off, the image changes. But when these come together in harmony, the result is something beautiful, intentional, and full of purpose, perfectly captured through my lens.
